Hi I wanted to give an update. I have been going to Mata Hair Solan about 4-5 months I think. However, I really enjoy this shop. I like the vibes and ai can bring my son. Again, I always get compliments about my hair at work , due the majority of them are women and also most have haves as hair texture, but just women generally compliment me. I wanted to thank Mata and her baby sister. About a month ago I called last min, and Mata was out of town, however she had me contact her baby sister and she hooked me up that same weekend. I recently went and wanted to show pictures when her sister did my braid and more recently when mata did it , the first pictures are mata and the last 3 are her any sister. I do my own hair cuts so all I have to do is a fade and shape up. Soon I will getting locs when I feel like my hair is long enough. Thanks!!

Mata did a great job! I’m in the process of growing my hair , however I have very soft hair and the last two ppl to did my hair, it would start coming out day 2. Mata already could see this before I mentioned it. I called on Friday and came by to see her , she set an appointment up on sat for me. I had my son with me, which she did not mind. He sat in a chair near me as I got my hair braided.it did not take long. She seems very patient. I went to work the next day and as male I don’t know what to look for in braids , but all the ladies at work said she did a great job, as I agree! I know once I my hair grows more, I can get the styles I I have seen online. I will be back! Thanks Mata.

My appointment was at 9am and she was done at 1:45. At times there were two doing my hair but I was ok with that. And yes there were three of their kids there but I didn’t have a problem with that. She didn’t keep stopping to check on her son. I work with Kindergarten and used to work with Preschoolers so I didn’t mind the kids being there at all. It may seem unprofessional to some but not so much to me. Besides, this is not the first time that I have been to a braiding salon where they had their kids there. Also, this is the fastest that I have ever had my hair braided and I love how it looks. I will definitely be going back.
